Was hoping for the measurement scene, but this was excellent.

I grinned ear to ear when Zach was announced as the new Resident Evil director. I feel so bad for him that he got harassed by the virgin brigade who kept saying the movie didn’t look like RE.

The end of RE got a little too goofy

That sequence in Resident Evil was incredible, especially in a Dolby theater.

He explains everything in such a direct non-pedantic way, but he KNOWS what’s up. He knows what works and why it works, but he keeps it simple. Gotta respect a guy who’s not afraid to say “I did it this way because it looks cool.”

her walking past the frosted glass and into the office has to be one of the coolest plot reveals ever. never clocked the twin peaks connection!

13:06 – Well I suppose that idea gets thrown out the window now that we get that unnecessary prequel…

I adore how he’s trying to sell his vision as a resident evil game point of view/idea but actually doesn’t resemble anything close at all to the games lol. I like his style but he is more of a salesperson than a director at this point 😀

      RE gamers having copium much?

    • @MrPickles1987

      September 18, 2026 at 3:08 pm

Wtf does this even mean? Did you watch the video? He really goes indepth. Low effort comment.

    • @Chak666

      September 18, 2026 at 3:14 pm

@MrPickles1987 yeah speaking doesn’t mean applying, if you can judge what you can see by yourself, cutting between two similar wide angles on opposite sides doesn’t imply he just decided where he wants to go, those two shots are basically identical…

      September 18, 2026 at 3:14 pm

@MrPickles1987 that’s just one of the issues btw

That scene where he’s running around the cop car is even better knowing the camera is supposed to be following Bryan’s attention.

His excitement reminds me of a young Seth MacFarlane.

I liked the part when Abram’s character was happy and had his mouth wide open

  23. @Andy-u9x

    September 18, 2026 at 3:46 pm

Mr. Cregger don’t make no more RE movies if you do at least put someone or a known monster of the game in the next one and try not to make it a comedy either 🙂
