We Found Jack Nicholson’s Axe From ‘The Shining’ | Vanity Fair

Published

on

It’s one of the most iconic sequences in film history, acutely focused on one undeniable weapon. But the actual axe Jack Nicholson used to cleave through the door in Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” took an astonishing journey following that fateful day on set. Vanity Fair Hollywood Correspondent Anthony Breznican takes us through the story of a prop that was almost lost to history’s cutting room floor, only to eventually sell at auction for over $200,000.

Check out Prop Store’s current live auction at https://www.PropStore.com/liveauction to find tons of movie and television props you can make your own.

Backstage at Zara Larsson’s Viral Lollapalooza Show | Soundcheck | Vogue

Published

on

An exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how Zara Larsson prepares for her viral Lollapalooza performance. As the Swedish pop star gets ready for one of her biggest gigs yet, a show-stopping concert at Chicago’s iconic Lollapalooza music festival, she gives us an intimate look at her day. We begin eight hours before showtime in Zara’s hotel room, where she does vocal warm-ups, eats breakfast, and reminisces about the last time she played Lollapalooza, ten years ago. Once she arrives at the festival grounds, Zara gets into glam, drawing inspiration from a colorful, sea-dwelling crawfish. After spending time in hair and makeup, she heads backstage for a few final rehearsals with her dancers before taking the stage.
