VIVETTA SS26 | “SIRENS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN” Exclusive Interview – Fashion Channel Chronicle

It must be the hypnotic sound of the waves, as everything begins
with the sea. Underwater. Between legendary characters, magi-
cal fantasies, and surrealism blending seamlessly with reality. An
ocean teeming with mythological creatures, like mermaids living
between two worlds. They are powerful symbols of transforma-
tion, shifting their form and embodying the new Vivetta and
her evolving creative journey, unveiled with the Spring/Summer
2026 collection.
An oneiric language emerges: an escape into fantasy. Pirates in
balloon trousers with a damned charm, mermaids told throu-
gh sailor tattoos, and underwater creatures clinging to the body
like precious best friends. Iconic collars become bling-bling sta-
tements, or a delicate hand holding a scarf—always touched by
that subtle irony. Sirens just want to have fun.
Narration and research, craftsmanship and savoir-faire. Imagina-
tion flows through textures like fish scales, mother-of-pearl shirt
buttons creating a wet effect on crisp poplin dresses. Terry suits
with sequined pinstripes, lurex seahorses, lace worked with tiny
crabs, and sea anemones embroidered by hand with french-wires
and beads in three-dimensional appliqués.
The shirt plays a central role, transforming from tuxedo shirt
into a long gown or a mini dress. Cape details on a sheath dress
tie at the neck, waist, or shoulder like an oversized bag. Techni-
cal and casual fabrics as jersey, nylon, and canvas, are elevated
with couture details, while fishing net is reimagined as a deluxe
must-have in gold chains and black tesserae.
Seabed inspired accessories: fish-shaped handbags and jewels
with a sculptural, surrealist touch. Rings and bracelets shaped
like an octopus or jointed starfish, necklaces of seahorse combs,
a crystal pavé crab turned into a pocket mirror, and hyper-visual
headbands. They appear alongside sailor hats, the iconic shirt
reinvented as a turban, and raffia buckets adorned with charms.
All the way to footwear, walking an underwater runway. Sea ur-
chin inspired heels, gold-plated and hand-painted; flat sandals
edged with beach stripes; and soft, sinuous wedges with nappa
ruffles recalling the eternal rhythm of the waves.
