I loved this video so much!! It was informative and fun to see the evolution of vampires through pop culture and where certain tropes started. She was a great host and perfectly explained the queerness rooted into vampires and why it’s so present in these stories!

I’d love a part 2 that includes Vampires vs. The Bronx. I don’t think it’s all that popular a film, but I think it’s interesting that the vampires in that movie are a not-so-subtle metaphor for gentrification.

Interesting set of breakdowns. However, I must disagree with the take of “Let The Right One In”. It maskerades as a touching love story. This is a very old being, wearing the guise of a child, in order to groom a new minion. The vampire needs a young, isolated soul to become infatuated with them. That makes the new carer easier to control. The saddest part of this movie, is that the old man was once a young boy. This end is what awaits our protagonist. It’s truly a horrifying story.
