TAORMINA 2025: AL VIA LA 26ESIMA EDIZIONE DEL GALA TAO MODA

Taormina, 20 Luglio 2025: sulle note della musica elettronica dell’artista DJ Max Magnani apre la 26esima edizione del Gala TAOMODA AWARDS nel suggestivo Teatro Antico di Taormina.
La moda resta protagonista della manifestazione, ideata e diretta da Agata Patrizia Saccone, Presidente e Direttore Artistico di Taomoda, che rientra nel calendario dei Grandi Eventi della Regione Siciliana ed è patrocinata, tra gli altri, da Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana e da Camera Buyer Italia, che ha celebrato qui i 25 anni dalla sua fondazione, così come Smile House Fondazione ETS, charity partner della kermesse.
In scena le collezioni di alta moda di Antonio Riva, della designer Hui Zhou Zhao, fondatrice e direttrice creativa del brand Hui, ambasciatrice del China Style in Italia, promotrice anche di una serie di attività culturali, e di Luis Figo – LF, che, dopo aver presentato in anteprima la collezione Spring/Summer 2026 a Pitti Uomo lo scorso giugno, approda a Taormina premiato dal Presidente di Pitti Immagine Antonio de Matteis.

The Fall/Winter 2026 collection, titled We Own The Light, explored light as a design element through contrasts of texture, transparency, and structure. The collection focused on architectural silhouettes combined with sensual shapes, staying close to the brand’s signature balance of experimentation and bold femininity.

Mini dresses in plumeti tulle featured iridescent surfaces, puffed sleeves, and fluid draping, creating soft volume with reflective movement. Other looks emphasized layered construction through lace, patchwork, and overlapping textures, often developed in warm tones of ochre, pink, and gold.

Transparency and opacity were central throughout the collection, with fabrics used to create shifting effects of light across the body. Volumes ranged from fitted silhouettes to more sculptural forms, balancing sharp geometry with softer drape.

The palette moved between luminous metallic effects and deeper evening tones, reinforcing the contrast between radiance and shadow.
