Agreed, if I couldn’t relate to Millie more, I certainly can now.

I can really relate to Millie’s situation. When I was a child, I got along better with teenagers, and as a teenager and adult, I tend to get along with people about a decade or so older.

Anyone else feel like she drifts between her native British accent and an American one?

Having grown up as an only child, and only around adults, this is very relatable.

I’m so thankful she said this. I feel so much better knowing someone as hilarious and beautiful as her can struggle with something like that. I was homeschooled pretty much my entire life. Leave me in a room alone for an hour with an older person. No problem. No anxiety. We’ll be besties 😂 but do the same with someone my age? I feel so horrible after every interaction knowing I don’t act as cool as them, I don’t know the trends as well as they do, etc etc etc. So much anxiety wondering did they like me. I feel so self conscious about my personality when I’m with people my age. I’m saving this video to go back on.

She must be an only child ! It is easier to find things in common with adults when you have no siblings

she’s not, but her family don’t seem to spend much time with her even when she was a child they never watched her show or cared about her accomplishments(her words)

You’d think that, but Millie actually has three siblings: an older brother and sister named Charlie and Paige, and a younger sister named Ava.

Inside Vogue’s Summer Issue: A Journey Across Texas

Published

on

Photographer Tyler Mitchell and fashion editor Carlos Nazario head to Texas on a “school trip” of sorts for Vogue’s Summer Issue. In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, Tyler and Carlos wanted to choose a state that represented the good, the bad, and the ugly of the United States. Texas seemed like a natural fit. Along the way, Tyler and Carlos journey across the state, visiting Texas Southern University to capture cheerleaders and a drumline, spending time with line dancers and a gospel church community, and stopping at a ranch stewarded by Black cowboys.
