Kinda sucks they missed most of his Balenciaga years because he’s with LVMH now and has a complicated relationship with Kering. Nicola’s Balenciaga is truly one of the most iconic tenures in fashion history

Photographer Tyler Mitchell and fashion editor Carlos Nazario head to Texas on a “school trip” of sorts for Vogue’s Summer Issue. In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, Tyler and Carlos wanted to choose a state that represented the good, the bad, and the ugly of the United States. Texas seemed like a natural fit. Along the way, Tyler and Carlos journey across the state, visiting Texas Southern University to capture cheerleaders and a drumline, spending time with line dancers and a gospel church community, and stopping at a ranch stewarded by Black cowboys.
