IED UNFOLD: Talk with the Students – Fashion Channel Chronicle

A Milano, nella sede della Scuola di Moda IED, l’abito diventa pensiero.
Con Unfold, il progetto in cui la creatività degli studenti in Fashion Design si mostra, si racconta e si trasforma.
Cinquantacinque opere, cinque sezioni tematiche, un solo grande gesto collettivo.

Attraverso stoffe, tagli, volumi, si disegna una mappa di emozioni e visioni: l’abito non è più solo oggetto, ma linguaggio vivo,
materia che interpreta la loro creatività.

Unfold è un invito a entrare in uno spazio fluido, sensibile, fatto di memoria, ricerca e sostenibilità .
Ogni collezione è una storia.
Dall’Astratto all’Onirico,
passando dall’Echo del passato, alla Synthesis dell’identità
fino alla materia Organica dei corpi.
È qui che le idee prendono forma, cucite tra immaginazione e realtà.
Unfold presenta come un viaggio creativo, in cui ognuno, ha trovato il proprio modo di dire qualcosa al mondo.

Le idee si trasformano in abiti, e gli abiti diventano voce.
Una voce giovane, viva, che ha voglia di farsi sentire.

The Fall/Winter 2026 collection, titled We Own The Light, explored light as a design element through contrasts of texture, transparency, and structure. The collection focused on architectural silhouettes combined with sensual shapes, staying close to the brand’s signature balance of experimentation and bold femininity.

Mini dresses in plumeti tulle featured iridescent surfaces, puffed sleeves, and fluid draping, creating soft volume with reflective movement. Other looks emphasized layered construction through lace, patchwork, and overlapping textures, often developed in warm tones of ochre, pink, and gold.

Transparency and opacity were central throughout the collection, with fabrics used to create shifting effects of light across the body. Volumes ranged from fitted silhouettes to more sculptural forms, balancing sharp geometry with softer drape.

The palette moved between luminous metallic effects and deeper evening tones, reinforcing the contrast between radiance and shadow.
