Director Rian Johnson Breaks Down a Scene from ‘Knives Out’ | Vanity Fair

‘Knives Out’ director Rian Johnson takes us through the scene where Harlan Thrombey’s dysfunctional family comes together before reading the crime novelist’s will. Johnson explains all of the different quirks Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, and the rest of the cast brought to their performances and how this scene set the stage for the rest of the mystery to unfold.

‘Knives Out’ arrives on Digital February 7th and Blu-ray February 25th.

    I really really enjoyed Knoves Out and it was so fun to watch Rian Johnson break down the scene and after this vieo I am even more convinced of the great fun they had filming this movie. Wow!

      Actually that’s really common for product placement, if their product is used they don’t like it being used by villains because the think it could create a negative image for the brand. It’s about brand image protection. Sure I agree it’s dumb no one really cares, but big brands like Apple really care about risks to their brand image as their brand image is the most valuable thing they have

    Love hearing this guy talk man. The behind the scenes on The Last Jedi blu-ray are some of the best behind the scenes for any movie. I always point people to that when people say they don’t think Rian knew what he was doing.
