Asier Quintana is a Basque designer based in Copenhagen who blends traditional tailoring with contemporary narratives. His work, recognized for its inherited craftsmanship, explores wear, imperfection, and actively challenges gender conventions in clothing to create personal, non-prescriptive garments.

His SS26 collection, “Crisis. The journey of the decadent and tormented mind,” is a critical take on menswear codes, inspired by 17th-century Spanish dress restrictions and Virginia Woolf’s Orlando. The collection blends Baroque opulence (voluminous sleeves, upholstery-inspired fabrics) with modern restraint. It evolves from a decadent beginning to a monochromatic resolution, serving as an exploration of gender, social conventions, and liberated identity.
