In the 1980s, Alberta Ferretti went from being a designer and boutique owner to becoming a big name in the fashion system, eventually going public with the name Aeffe Group.

Throughout her long career, Ferretti has played a significant role in promoting Italian culture and has received numerous awards in recognition of her work, such as the title “Cavaliere del Lavoro del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana” in 1998 and the “Premio alla Carriera” in Rome in 2005, following the renovation of Palazzo Viviani in Rimini and a turn as the first woman on the board of directors of the “Fondazione Banca Italiana della Cassa di Risparmio” in Rimini.

Alberta Ferretti was also nominated as best female entrepreneur in 1991.
