Regina King is one of the most under-rated actors of our time. Watching her be so humble and gracious as she’s talking about her costars and directors makes me admire her that much more.

She’s a true legend. But how could you skip “American Crime” Vanity Fair? That was the single role that catapulted her career. If it wasn’t for her performance there, a lot of what came next with “If Beal Streed Could Talk” and “One Night in Miami” would’ve never happened. They definitely should’ve included that in this, that was a disappointing move.

Regina King will always be my fairy godmother, the epitome of my childhood. Not even Hilary Duff left an impression like that on me. And this film was amateur hour for her too. Ms. King you are a great actress!

THANK YOU for doing Southland. It’s one of the best TV shows ever made – The Wire is a great portrait of a city, but Southland is the best portrait of what it means to be a cop
