Experts of something fictional have an opinion about a movie about the same fictional thing. Sure..

The crucifix also affects the Vampire’s perception as, according to Peter Watts, they have developed evolutionary pattern recognition indicators that gear toward nature based architecture and thus a sharp aversion to things like right angles as they do not appear in nature and are only man made i.e. a cross is designed of four equilateral right angles which sets off a involuntary repulsion that acts as a way to distract them or even repel them…

I loved this video so much!! It was informative and fun to see the evolution of vampires through pop culture and where certain tropes started. She was a great host and perfectly explained the queerness rooted into vampires and why it’s so present in these stories!
    Do a part 2 please!

I’d love a part 2 that includes Vampires vs. The Bronx. I don’t think it’s all that popular a film, but I think it’s interesting that the vampires in that movie are a not-so-subtle metaphor for gentrification.

Interesting set of breakdowns. However, I must disagree with the take of “Let The Right One In”. It maskerades as a touching love story. This is a very old being, wearing the guise of a child, in order to groom a new minion. The vampire needs a young, isolated soul to become infatuated with them. That makes the new carer easier to control. The saddest part of this movie, is that the old man was once a young boy. This end is what awaits our protagonist. It’s truly a horrifying story.

Wait, Let the Right One In is not touching, it’s terrifying. Or more precisely it processes all it’s touching elements in a terrifying whole.
