She got famous because of her sextape and has literally zero expertise on any of these subjects. Celebrity culture in the US is incredibly stupid and this woman is a tool.

I’m torn on kim being the face of prison reform. On one hand she has been able to use her influence to get a few ppl out of prison. But, it only happened with this type if president. A narcissistic celebrity president listening to a narcissistic celebrity. What will happen in 5 years when Trump no longer is president?
Also, I think Kim’s knowledge of this issue is surface at best. She also always is interviewed by friends. Is she versed enough on this to go in front if Congress or a senate committee to talk about legislation for minor drug offenses?? I don’t think so.

I know that Kim Kardashian has been someone who has been looked at as being narcissistic, unimaginably privileged, and certainly tone deaf at times. That being said it’s about time she work to do some good in the world and really put her time/money/power towards something positive. I dont think we should dismiss her immediately, she should be given a chance to really accomplish some of what she’s trying to do. And even if you’re right and it doesnt go any further than this, she has already helped 2 people get out of prision and get their life back. That’s not a small thing. Lets see what else she can do.

That’s a reasonable question – a celebrity being the face of anything can always get problematic. With her actively pursuing an education in the law, in 5 years she may have both the credentials and credibility to speak on the issue further. From what I’ve seen in other interviews (which, yes, have been very friendly interviews), she does try to shout out and center others doing more of the heavy lifting in this movement. We haven’t seen the show yet, but hopefully she continues to center those voices and acknowledge those with more expert knowledge. As a host and producer she no doubt (and rightfully so?) stands to gain financially from this endeavor, but hopefully the content comes from the more selfless space.

She’s also trying to make money off the pandemic… so there’s that.

For each man in there he is someone’s brother, son, uncle, father, grandfather, . Every woman, is someone’s mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother and so on and so on, remember that. Thank you for bringing more awareness to this cause🧡
