US insurance companies can flat out drop you if your case is too expensive and you’re on your own then. Only place in the world I know where they do that 😂😂

@nasis What they can do is not offer to keep you as a client at the end of the contract period. They have to cover if they are under contract. But they don’t have to let you stay under contract going forward.

@nasis they don’t have a contract with you in the sense they aren’t obligated to keep you as a customer. They aren’t legally obligated to be forced to keep you as a customer, are you a dummy? 🤦♂️ once your policy is up they can say bye bye

@Fractured Dreams they don’t have a contract with you in the sense they aren’t obligated to keep you as a customer. They aren’t legally obligated to be forced to keep you as a customer. You tried to sound smart and sounded even more dumb. How about stfu, the insurance company isn’t forced to keep you. Dumba** once your policy is up they can drop you

@Nicholas Crass if your policy is up they can drop you, also ofc if you do something illegal or don certain things they aren’t obligated to cover you of you break policy.

$300,000 just for the bank; $560,000 (I think) for the bank + deli.

In a world where Super beings exists, law makers and insurance companies would probably make an execption for damage caused by Super villians and hereos to keep the premiums lower.
Im suprised the Marvel world isnt already in a massive recession, constant world destroying threats make it hard to run a stable economy.
Also you know, half of the population dissapearing for 5 years

So in a nutshell, an insurance company would rather pay the legal fees worth of a $100 000 of fighting you over a car crash, rather than paying you the few thousand $ to fix the car itself.

Now I know this is a complicated issue and state laws differ widely on this (so I’m not faulting the guy for not mentioning it), but isn’t there a punitive damages cap that would make the $600M-6B for the “The Boys” example impossible in most states (if not all of them)?

5:07 disagree here, if he IS working on behalf of the government (which I also disagree, he isn’t, it’s Gordon who is basically breaking the law to summon the vigilante in to fight outside the law) then he is within his right to PIT maneuver the perp’s vehicle to make sure he stops causing danger to the public with a lethal weapon (his car)

I’d like a followup of the cop movies like those Bad Boys movies, or the FF series.
