Over the past 75 years, fashion shows have evolved from intimate presentations to global spectacles. Vogue takes a look at the rich history of fashion’s illustrious front row. Dior’s 1950s “New Look” revolutionized femininity, while the ’60s embraced individual freedom and exclusivity. The ’70s introduced cultural influencers and turned shows into entertainment, paving the way for the extravagant glamour of the ’80s. By the ’90s, mainstream appeal dominated, and the 2000s saw celebrities strategically claim the front row. The rise of influencers in the 2010s, fueled by social media, democratized access to Fashion Week. Even as the pandemic briefly halted live shows, the industry adapted and returned. Today, the front row itself has become part of the spectacle with celebrities like Kylie Jenner wearing the same outfit we also see on the runway.

TB looks repressed and takes himself so seriously. I feel his clothes reflect this – no sensuality there, it is all in the head.

I see it different. There’s more romance than sensuality here, imho.

Thom Browne is like the more conservative proper cousin of Tim Burton. If he made a wybie POV of Caroline the design would be fabulous.

Odd that someone who is so exact about the proportions and fit of the clothes is busting out of his own clothes that are clearly at least 4 sizes too small😊

Love the grey suits you can never go wrong with a nicely tailored suit. The underwater theme with all the embroidery on the different pieces.

Is it me, or is the suit he’s wearing very poorly fitting/small😊? His tailoring is usually perfect.

what he says about the collection in this interview is WAY less interesting and revealing than the collection itself. Wonder what Thi would say if interviewed.
