What surprised me is that there is no rule that ads for food products must contain actual food. Seems like false advertising.

I applaud all the food stylists out there! I have worked on Lays packaging as a photoshop artist and I can attest to the rigorous parameters that goes into building the perfect chip (flavor coating, shape, texture and color). Enjoyed this video a lot!

    I said I’ll watch a minute, 19 minutes later I’m drooling.
also, her family name is another proof of the simulation theory.

Somehow she’s made me want to eat the promotional food and that’s a real skill given what that food actually is. Pretty sure she could describe a car crash and make it sound appealing, dang.

always thought it was hilarious that ‘false advertisement’ is illegal and this entire little industry is quite literally false advertisement.

making something look way better than it actually is then proceeding to sell you something that is nothing like it’s advertised. love it

Those chip bags are likely vinyl. They don’t have the edges along the top and they don’t crinkle as much. They use vinyl so the chip bag doesn’t ruin the audio for the actor’s voices.

When ever I see a food commercial I just have a picture in my mind of what it really looks like. When I was a kid I’d ask my parents “why does the food on commercials look so much better than when we get it”. lol

I can see at some point them just making CGI food instead of real. They can use the same CGI burgers, chips and such in different commercials.
