Published

on

Is social media ruining our lives? In the second episode of Open Minded: Unpacking Anxiety, Kendall sits down with Dr. Jorge Partida, Chief of Psychology at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, to discuss social media addiction, our human need to feel connected, and how both of those things can contribute to feelings of anxiety. Throughout the episode, Kendall and Dr. Partida discuss how to decrease social media addiction and tips for managing inferiority complexes that may develop from comparing our lives to those we see online.

I love that she’s opening about her anxiety and how social media affected it, but just as somebody else in the comments mentioned – Kendall and her entire family were pioneers of this toxic beauty standard trend and they still go to great lengths to upkeep it. She has the power to change that for herself and for the collective.

I don’t get when she said it’s inescapable. It is though. There are many celebs who have thriving careers without being on social media.. Olsen twins is coming to my mind. So I think they need to evaluated why they are using it? More $? Why do u need more money? U get paid for modelling already?

Social Media is terrible for people with mental issues. Nothing but Liberal bullies on Facebook and Twitter. Also the companies are big business run propaganda. They definitely would have censored MLK or Malcolm X. Just remember that.
