What a wonderful actor, and a wonderful man. He’s an actor who wants to be “paint” for OTHER artists?!?! Have you ever *heard* anything so humble and generous?

4:12 You can see the wire to the remote Dafoe is holding in his left hand to detonate the squibs on his chest.

He was so awesome as SSGT Elias (as was Tom Berenger as SSGT Barnes) I remember watching PLATOON as a kid & sobbing uncontrollably at Barnes’ betrayal & Elias’ subsequent death w/ Taylor (Charlie Sheen) realizing what Barnes had done.

I wish they could have touched on Fishing With John. But I get it. Pretty obscure.

Mr. Dafoe’s CV is so extensive. I wonder how they chose these few films to discuss. One of my favorites is “The Hunter”.

He is so soft and well spoken! It’s a pleasure to hear him talk, didn’t imagine his voice is so soothing.

Kind of disappointed that he didn’t discuss to Live & Die in LA, Mississippi Burning, Born on the 4th of July or American Psycho.

I just quit my job today and I think I was supposed to see this video. I really was inspired by how Willem really seems to embrace great opportunities and I feel like I need to figure out how to live in an artistic way just like Willem. He seems like someone who has lived a really satisfied life the way I really want to.

Never noticed how William worked with nearly every prominent film director in the last 40 years. Scorcese, Lynch, Stone, Raimi, Anderson, Trier…
