i keep wondering if all that these girls get put through is worth it. Is it?What comes afterward? What do you have left when your time is up?

To be totally honest, most women experience these challenges and unrealistic standards as well. But we don’t have access to the opportunities that reaching a certain beauty standard gets you. I’d like to see a video of “regular” women discussing these issues.

Women are even out here “meeting the standard” but without resources, critical contacts in the Industry, knowledge about the path to massive success in modeling or just plain…being in the right place at the right time..😕 the way that making your body (or, face) a commodity described here seems similar to the world of some professional athletes…🤔
Great video thanks VOGUE!

This is such a beautiful video and discussion – One I am really grateful I get to hear more about now, and share in my communities. Thank you to all the models for your vulnerability – you’re beautiful (role)models ❤️

I love hearing model’s perspective on things and not just what the media force feeds us about them

The idea of this video is so cool. But did they know that when they say about their mental health they didn’t recognise that there are so many young girls who feel bad themselves when they see this “ideal life”. I think that we should be more honest to each other and stop to live this fake live

I’m a model in South Africa, I won a competition but because I was loyal to a brand I had to forfeit my title of the winner. Modeling isn’t something people should take lightly. It’s a brave sport. It’s a brave heart. No matter how good you think you are or how bad you think you are, we should never lose who we are because that to me is true modeling, true beauty within.

Love this! People diss the social media models / age but the great part is seeing lots of models’ vlogs and vids like these and witness their personalities, intelligence, drive, interests… Objectification of women is still an issue and has caused myself mental health issues too.

It occurred to me that the way some of the women in this video describe the reality of making your body or face a commodity is similar to the way that professional athletes might feel…
Thanks for this, VOGUE!!

You know I really thought this video would be patronising and staged but it was actually really insightful. I didn’t feel like these wonders were saying these things to seem down to earth and it didn’t feel as scripted as I thought it would be. Good job vogued this video was really raw and real
