M.I.R. 227 MBFW MOSCOW 2021 – Fashion Channel
A series of seasonal fashion shows of Russian designers which Artefact Agency (owner of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia and Russian Fashion Week) started doing in 1999, became the new milestone in Russian fashion world; since then the Fashion Week has changed several names, from the local brand Russian Pret-a-porte Fashion Week to the national Russian Fashion Week, finally changing the name to the global one – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
Candy shades, transparent fabrics and silver silk: this is how MIR227 presented several collections at once.
The brand presented images of women and children to live music; dresses with plastic details, hoodies with bright embroidery, organza trousers and capes appeared on the catwalk.
Children paraded in trench coats with leather inserts and micro-bags, perhaps nothing distinguishing them from adult models; a mix of vibrant and neutral colors, soft silhouettes perfectly captured the MIR227 aesthetic, which is all about freedom of expression.
