Just a question : why are black people called “people of color” when black is by definition the absence of color/light. Shouldn’t white people be the “people of color” ?

    • KlawMan27

      September 11, 2020 at 5:02 pm

@Rige1997 A bunch of white people saw someone with a different colour. Back in the day, white was considered default, anything else was called people of colour. Meaning a different colour than white. That’s all.
If you wanna go by your weird logic, then neither white or black are considered colours. So only asians and amerindians are “people of colour”(yellow and red). Idk other racist stereotypes based on colours to give as an example

      September 11, 2020 at 5:23 pm

The idea of people being identified by a color is a system rooted in oppression. The color code “white” means privilege person. The color black means “non-privileged” person. People are not a color, people have ethnicity, culture and nationality.

      September 11, 2020 at 5:25 pm

Because we aren’t the actual color black💀

    • KlawMan27

      September 11, 2020 at 5:34 pm

@Kevin Dunbar That’s quite wrong and narrow minded. White people were oppressed by other white people. The only thing “white” as a skin colour meant was “normal” or “regular”. If you really wanna go the privilege direction, then “blue blood” was usually used to signal privilege through royal ties. Also the bloodline of an individual would dictate his place in the society (peasant, noble etc)
Oppression as a subject is way more complex than skin colour.

@KlawMan27 My perspective is based on the History of the United States and the oppression that occurred and continues to occur here. It is obvious that you are not American or American educated, due to your irregular spelling , grammar, and your European terminology.

BLM has only created more racism than anything

    • Caro Bell

      September 11, 2020 at 5:24 pm

A Twitter poll of 250,000 peeps said that 82% were more racist because of blm.
Non-bIack lives matter, bIack lives matter etc. Of course it is divisive.

    • Kevin Dunbar

      September 11, 2020 at 5:26 pm

BLM scares some whites who are threatened by minorities who are increasing in self empowerment and education.

    • lbhtdc zz_

      September 11, 2020 at 6:07 pm

@Kevin Dunbar BLM scares busnisses for being looted. Nothing to do with minorties

    • Kevin Dunbar

      September 11, 2020 at 6:13 pm

@lbhtdc zz_ , BLM are not looters, they are protesters. BLM have no control over criminals who wish to exploit a protest for their own criminal intent. I think you fully understand, but pretend not to understand for it’s racist effects.

    • Attitude Indicator

      September 11, 2020 at 6:25 pm

@Kevin Dunbar ok but why havent the leaders of blm disavowed the looting and and vandalizing of small businesses and communities? pretty sure this woman was the one who said “looting is reperations”

    • reggiereg

    • schnibbyy

@reggiereg She should come out and disavow that then.

    • Trap Trafficker

      September 11, 2020 at 5:49 pm

schnibbyy being married doesn’t mean you’re a nuclear family.

    • Desi Excellence

      September 11, 2020 at 6:32 pm

reggiereg two of the three are lesbians, they say they are trained marxists, money raised by blm goes to the Democratic Party, but I still want to know what that means when she talks about nuclear family, isn’t absent fathers an issue in black community so I just want clarification on that 😂

The harm is in seeing racism where there is none. This is not good for many reasons. A) creates a vict mentality with self fulfilling promises. B) Not great for race relations at large.

I hope someone audits her and the BLM organization. With all the millions of dollars that corporations are donating it would be very easy for a few people in the movement to get sticky fingers. Where is the transparency? I doubt if there is any! BLM is supported by Barack Obama and the Marxist Black Panther Party! Don’t be fooled America! These people are dangerous to the values of America and should not be tolerated.
